Bullied

When I was 8, I always  caught the bus to school. One day my mum drove me to school because she had a meeting with my teacher. While my mum was inside with my teacher these boys walked past me, I was scared. When they saw me looking at them one of them said “ What a you looking at you faggot”. I didn't say anything  and just sat there quietly. Then they came up to me and said “ bring your money or else I’ll punch you”. I was so scared of them so I gave my money and they pushed me down. When my mum came out of the class she said “ let’s go” and we went back home.
On another day I was with a group of cheerleaders. Valensia was our leader the group. At first Valenisia seemed nice, but then things suddenly turned around. She started making up lies, rumors and called people names. Valensia couldn't stand having bullies around so we promised each other that we would tell the teacher about the problems around the school. One day I was looking for her, while I was looking for her, she was making fun of me secretly with some other girls. I tried to tell the teacher, but all he said was "kids will be kids, just ignore them”. So I decided to go tell them that it wasn't funny because being laughed at felt embarrassing. On the next day they all said “ Sorry” and  I said “ It all right” and we went to class happily.

My highlight

My highlight from the holiday was going to Hawaii then going to Singapore and it was like going around the world.

My lowlight was that I had to come back and get for school.

Singapore

On Friday I spent my last holidays in Singapore. I stayed at my friend’s house. Singapore is a big and beautiful city. There are many things to see and enjoy in Singapore.

My friend and I went to the harbours and we saw hundreds of ships. We enjoyed the boat rides and visited some of the island near Singapore, which is the Turtle Island. We also visited the Jurong Bird Park and the Botanical Garden.

At night we visited night market and parks. At we went around the city, I saw a lot of beautiful things, clothes in the shops. I brought a few things for my brothers, sisters and myself.

I returned home only onj Sunday before my school reopened. I really enjoyed my stay in Singapore.

About Holidays

Holiday Cheer…
In a year, there are a lot of holidays that are celebrated around the world. These holidays include; Valentine’s Day, St. Patrick’s Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas. People worldwide celebrate some of these holidays in their own way, and always have a good time too. I like to spend a majority of the holidays throughout the year with my family or friends, because it tends to be more fun if you spend it with family or friends.
My favourite holiday out of all of the holidays in a year is Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving is a day where everyone across the United States gives thanks to what they are grateful for most in their lives. It is also a day where you get to enjoy a lot of delicious food, and for others a day to enjoy an awesome football game. For me, Thanksgiving, or Turkey day as I call it, is a day where I like to tell my family how grateful I am for everything they have done for me and others. Thanksgiving from last year was probably one of the best I have ever had. It included a lot of happiness, laughter, family, and of course food.
It all started on the day before Thanksgiving, my family from around Tonga were coming to my house to spend the holiday with my family. I must have opened the door a million times, because each time I closed it I would have to open it a few seconds later. However, each time I opened the door, it would be a new face every time. I saw uncles and aunts I haven’t seen in a very long time. I also saw my cousins and my grandparents. I thought that we wouldn't have enough room for everyone but luckily we actually did. During the day, my uncles, cousins, brothers, dad, and I all went to the park to have a huge game of football, old guys versus the young kids. It was actually a pretty fun game, except for the fact that my team lost because we let one final play from the old guys to get through. But no one cared because we all had an awesome time tackling and laughing throughout the game.

Brother in law's birthday

It was a cold and dark night  and  it was my brother in law’s birthday. First we gathered up the family so we could pray for the food and his birthday. Then we brought the cake in so he could blew the candle out and to cut it then we sang the happy birthday song.

After the song we all walked to the kitchen and sat down at the table and ate the food. Later on, after dinner we ran to the cars  then we drove to the Tenpin bowling. At Tenpin bowling there were no lanes left for us so we had to wait until 8 o'clock.
While we waited for a lane  we played a game of pool table, it was fantastic and everyone had fun. Finally we got to play bowling and  it was as fun as riding a rocket. The ball rolled as fast as a cheater  hunting for meat.

At the end, I felt so excited and very tired that I wanted to go to sleep.  But when we got home we went back to the kitchen and ate some more food and the leftover birthday cake.

Camping

During  the holidays on the second week of the holiday I went to an amazing camp with my brother that was in Henderson Valley .

When my brother and I arrived at the camp we were put into the same room with ten other people and I started unpacking my stuff and made my bed. After everyone had arrived at the camp-site we were all called to the dining room where camp dad told us what activities we were doing and that the theme of the camp was fear factor.

Next we all broke up into our activity groups and and we went to rock climbing. It was really exciting for me because I have never been rock climbing before and I was a bit scared because I don't like high places. When I was climbing it was great but it was a little bit difficult and I set a goal that I would touch the roof and I did get to the top.

After that we went to have lunch in the dining room and it was pizza which was brilliant. Soon after that it was free time and we got to do whatever we wanted to do and I went to have a sleep. About two hours later I woke up and everyone was going to the hall so I went as well. When I entered the hall I found my brother and all of the camp started playing a game called rag tag where everyone had a rag and they had to get the other peoples' rag and we played that for about an hour.

Later on the bell rang for dinner and everyone rushed up to the dining room and we were seated in our rooms. We were then called up to get our food and we went back to our seats to eat. The food was delicious because it was my favourite food lasagne. After that we went to have room chill time where I had a rest and read my book.

Afterwards we brushed our teeth and got ready for bed and went to lie down on my bed. We were allowed to talk for a while so I talked to my new friends but they were all too tired to talk. Then I read my book again and then I fell asleep. When I woke up everyone was already up and got dressed and I got dressed too. Later on when everyone was ready we went to breakfast and started the days activities and my first one was going to the water hole.

Soon after we were asked to go and get changed into our swimming gear and go down to the water hole. When everyone was at the water hole we had to put life jackets on and wait for the leaders to tell us to go into the water. Next we were told that we could go into the water and I was the first one to jump into the water. As soon as I touched the water I screamed because the water was freezing cold and I jumped back out. Everyone else was too scared to go into the water but then the leaders picked people up and through them into the water. I jumped in the water again but that time I stayed in the water and it started to get warm and I swam to the other side and went up the slide. When I went down the slide I smashed into the water and water went up my nose and in my mouth but it didn't stop me from going back up and doing it again.

Following that was the start of Fear Factor which the whole camp went down onto the field. Everyone had a gross task to do and my one was about food. The first task was my one about food, We had a bucket full of scrapes and there were five marbles in it. The task was we had to get all of the marbles out with a blindfold on and the first person to get them all was the winner. When we started I picked up the bucket and tipped all the scrapes out and began to feel around for the marbles and it was gross. Then I found one, then two and then all the rest of the marbles in the same place and I got up and took my blindfold off and saw that I was first and I jumped for joy because I had got 1000 points for my group.

Finally we had the prize giving and my group won. I was amazed and I couldn't believe that we had won. Our group was called up to the stage and we got a bag of treats and we were the first to go. As we left we got a packed lunch and I said bye to all my new friend and that made me feel sad. Then I met my brother and we were picked up by my foster family.

Overall I loved camp and I had an amazing time and I hope I get to go again.

Flying back from Hawaii

It was the last day of school for term 2, the holidays was about to start. I only played video games once I got home from Hawaii.

I spent time in the weekends with my nana. At my nana’s house I would always watch movies with my uncle until late at night. I really liked the weekends I wish it wouldn’t end but I still wanted to learn.

Every morning I would always sleep in and I wouldn’t wake up until the afternoon. The reason I didn’t go anywhere was because I was too lazy and plus it was my holiday.

I liked playing games in the holiday it was like having my own vacation at Hawaii by myself but I went with my mum. I didn’t have time to read a book because I was too caught up on playing video games. I was playing on my Ps3, I played this game called Payday the heist

Pretending its Christmas

Holiday Cheer................
Everyone has a family tradition whether it is going out of town or just staying
home and being with your family. My family tradition is passed down from generation to
generation, and helps define the true meaning of family. It helps build everlasting
memories and enrich our culture. My family gathers for any holiday or special
celebration. Furthermore, I would consider Christmas to be my favorite Holiday of the
year.
The word Christmas in itself brings to one’s mind a sense of happiness and joy. We begin our tradition by selecting our tree, and filling it with gifts for our entire family. This marks the beginning of our early tradition.
Over the years it has become an event where we come together as a family.
My family consists of about 40 people; all ranging from infants, toddlers, teens
and adults. All coming together to celebrate Christmas day. The environment is great,
decorated tree, lights, music, food and plenty of holiday spirit. Everyone will bring their
favourite dish or desert.
This year my mom will cook Birria.   For desert we will have my personal favourite
which is cooked by my Nina. It is called pork bun. We gather at my house right around 4:00 p.m.   We have plenty of food and
everyone brings something different to eat.   As we eat dinner everyone will catch up on
what’s new, what they have been up too and we also share everlasting memories.
After dinner, is when our Christmas party comes alive. My family is known as a happy,
cheerful and bright family. As soon as one person begins to dance, everyone joins in as
well.   We continue to dance well in to the night. There are many pictures taken as a
family. I find it very funny that my younger cousins will make funny faces as their
picture is taken. Every picture that is taking is unique; it has its own story to tell. We
share these photo’s amongst our self’s.

My trip to Hawaii

Everybody loves holidays because during our holidays we can relax and have fun. We get enough time to travel, play our favourite sports and practice our hobbies. Below I will tell you about my firsted holiday.

I had always dreamed about going to Hawaii. It was the evening of 1th October 2013 when my Mum called me from her work and told me that we are going to Hawaii for one week in our holidays. I couldn't believe my ears what I just heard. I asked her again if she is not making it up, but she said she already purchased tickets online and made plans. I was totally lost in the views that I forgot to blink my eyes. We stayed in my uncle hotel in front of the beach. Next day we hired a helicopter for a trip to see volcano. It was simply amazing. We stayed in The Big Island for 4 days, and then we went to the island of Maui for 4 days. We did so many activities which included Jet Ski, Scuba diving. We also watched the sunrise of Kalekala's summit, it was very romantic. At last one of the best things we did in Hawaii was to drive on the Hana Highway. It was the most amazing and spectacular experience of my life that I was stunned by God's creation of a heaven-like place on earth. During the trip I thought, ‘Those days were amazing and unforgettable, I wished if I had more days to spend over there'.

My holidays with my friends

I had a holiday from school last week. I, along with my friends, went to the lake to enjoy ourselves. We took our fishing rods and kites with us. We went on foot and were a little tired on reaching the lake. We rested for some time. Then we flew kites. As it was a windy day, kite flying was a joyful experience. Then we enjoyed fishing in the lake. Now we were hungry. We unpacked our baskets and ate sweets, fruits and some snacks. It was getting dark. We enjoyed the beautiful sight of the setting sun. We returned to our homes. It was a wonderful outing on a holiday.

Simione’s Holiday

Today I am going to tell you about Simione's holiday.

During the holidays Simione went to visit the Zoo. What he really liked from the Zoo was watching the animals eat. Another thing that he was so excited about was going to the mall to buy new shoes. His highlight from his holiday  was when he ate chicken sushi. He had an awesome holiday when he  slept in and slept over at his nana’s house. After visiting his Nana  house he went to play at the park with his cousins. He enjoyed it because he played lots of games like tiggy.

What he didn’t like at the Zoo was standing around instead of walking because his legs were getting itchy.
What he didn’t like was when he had to stay inside when it was raining.

What Simione would dream for in his holidays is to travel with his family around the world and to stay at London.

Highlight 2013

My highlight for Term 2 is meeting with my teacher for the 3 way conference. My favourite highlight is swimming, because we did fun activities. My favourite highlight is getting to read my duffy books in the holidays.

My lowlight is when our teacher was sick and we treated her very bad. My other lowlight is singing practise because our backs hurt when we stand up straight and that the little class made us sing the song again.

In Term 3, I am looking forward to learning about badminton because when I grow older I want to play for a team. I am excited to learn about a different country like Asia and looking forward to 9 weeks of school and the holidays.

Reflection Week 9

My highlight for Week 9 is swimming because our teacher told us to run around the pool inside. It was fun when we stopped because the water was like dragging us around. I was excited to swim because we haven’t swim for a long time. My exciting highlight is that we had an awesome time with Miss Leaupepe at the court when we were having fitness. My favorite highlight is that I got 100% for my basic facts and Subtraction.

My lowlight is that my teacher had to come outside and growl at our class for talking back to our teacher. My other lowlight was  losing  my goggles outside the toilet.

What I am looking forward is swimming with Mr Coakley because we might play with him volley ball. I am looking forward to the 100 day party with our teacher.

Image of God in the New Testament

Matthew 23-37

Jerusalem, Jerusalem! You kill the prophets and stone the messengers God has sent you! How many times   I wanted to put my arms around all your people, just as a hen gathers her chickens under her wings, but you will not let me!

The image of God in the scripture is a hen that gathers her chickens under her wings.

Jonney Wartman visit

On a hot sunny day a successful man came to talk about himself  He came to tell us what he does now and how his life is. His name was Jonney Wartman and he came from Christchurch. He was so kind and came with some spray cans to draw a lovely picture outside under the shade. Lots of people paid him lots of money for his graffiti painting. He used his money for buying him paints. He has been travelling around places to graffiti. We asked him question and then we went outside and sit in the shade.

After  he talked to us about himself he said to our teacher if it was all right to go outside and show his picture. We sat down and we had to move back because the spray can was very strong that you can smell it. He was talented he drew a beach, coconut tree, flower and sand.We were amazed of his magic talented hands. We turned around and all of Room 7 came out to look at the picture that he done. When we stood up and looked close it was very wet so we were not allowed to touch it.

In the end we all went to the chair and took a photo of it. So we all enjoyed his time coming.

I took her and showed her around our school. All of a sudden  we bumped into Valenisia and Ponia. Valenisia had to go and play and they had fun. When they went I saw a little girl walk around so I made her cheer up and she made lots of fun.

Martha was a Korean just like my uncle and she was 11 years old, I was one year older than her. My new friend and I went and walked around the field and I asked Martha if their school  had a big field at their school and she replied back “ Yes but it is a small field.

Catholic School Day

Yesterday St Joseph's came to celebrate Catholic school day.

First thing when the St Joseph's arrived at our school, we had a school mass with St Joseph's. The whole school was very packed and all you could see is red and blue clothes. We had to sing songs and read the gospel. Our two priests were Father Terry and Father Ioane. Our class sat on the left side with Room 4, Room 1 and Room 2. St Joseph's sat on the right side with the rest of the classes. Our class and St Joseph's had a nice day. We had an awesome day and enjoyed meeting others.

After mass we lined up and walked back to class to get our lunch. We sat and we got to meet the girls and they gave us was a badge from them.  The boys gave a badge to the St Pius boys. Boys were playing Bull rush with the St Joseph's boys. The girls were walking around meeting others and they were playing Tiggy. The teachers were talking and having a cup of tea or coffee. The weather was sunny and we hoped it wouldn't rain so we would play.

Next we had a music concert with St Joseph. St Joseph's sang Count On Me by Bruno Mars. We had fun day and Room 3 did the cup song. We enjoyed singing with the whole school Mali Mali mai and we had to clap. Our class did not do a thing because Room 7 had set it up for us. We had a fun and exciting day with my 3 buddies.

What I enjoyed with my friend was that we walked around and took pictures. That was my favourite day ever in my life.

We are learning about statistical literacy. This means reading and writing about statistical. We learned about pictogram. One of the most important things to look for is the key. The key is important because it tells you clues.
Here is an example of a pictogram:

She supports me wherever I go and she keeps me clean for school. She cares for me and hugs me when I go school. She helps me when I need help and she tells me stuff to do. She buys lunch for us and keeps us safe and healthy. She pays my school fees and my uniform. She cleans the house makes food for us so when we get home we eat. She is the best mum I have ever had.

Goldilocks and the 3 bears persuasive writing

I believe that Goldilocks was bad.

Firstly, she broke into the bears house. She had no right to go in and touch things. What would you feel if someone came into your house?

Secondly, she used things without asking and broke things.
She did not own it and she can’t afford to pay for the things that she broke in the house.

Thirdly, she left the when the bears came home. Goldilocks was very rude and she did not say sorry to the bears. She did not ask forgiveness from the bears.

Goldilocks should go to jail and she did not ask permission. She was not allowed to enter the house and she messed up the their things.
