Lego Story

This is a story about Lego and it is set in the olden days, because the cars and the olden houses and wires. . It happened in Switzerland and the character was Oil the grandfather and the son Godfrey. They began in 1932 and still carried on now. 

Oil lost his wife and he started to make toys with wood. He had four boys and they helped him but the little one helped him a lot. The name Lego came from Oli, it means play well.

Oli worked in the workshop and sold toys. He was making toys until he gave to the shops and he bought some food and the children were happy. Oli passed away and his son looked after the shop. His lego was sold in the shops and it is very fun to do.

My favorite part was that the son helped him alot and it was easy to watch. It was quite a sad movie because the toy shop got burnt down at one point. I loved the movie that my teacher showed me because I love lego and it is my favorite thing to do when I am bored.

Typing Test Term 4

This is my highest score and I can not believe it because last time I got around 24. This is my lucky last typing test I got to do. My favourite thing from typing is that you get lots of time to type.

Cricket Recount

Saint Pius student played cricket from week 1 to 4 in term 4. We played at the field and in the courts. We had our turn every Tuesday, we all had turns whacking the ball and fielding.

When we were finished our cricket lesson we would walk sensibly to the classroom. When we whacked the ball we had to run to the cricket bowler and touch it until there was 6 balls there on the yellow stander. What we did first was we had to go and line up at the court and we sit down and we listen carefully and we did warm ups with the ball.

First what we did was run with the ball around our legs. After we come and sit down after we bat, then if all the team got 3 out they had to swap. On my team we got the good players because they were fast and good catchers. We whacked the ball and it went very far. The coach came for 4 weeks and it was a pleasure to have him here.

We were the winners but there was no trophy but we still won. When we had the game at the field, it was not that fun because people were not respecting each others teams. So what we did was we fixed the problem by respecting each others teams by cheering for each other.

We loved cricket very much and this time. Sid is a very nice coach, we liked him and we wish him a very good time where-ever he has gone to next.

Saint Francis of Assisi

Food Rap

I love toffee,
because it tastes like coffee .

Toffee is yummy,
I love it in my tummy.

Brown and sweet,
all my friends love to eat.

Toffee is nothing to do with my tummy,
but it just so yummy for my grumbling mummy.

Film Festival

On Wednesday 14th of November the Manaiakalanai Film Festival occurred. We got on the bus at 10:00am.

There was a massive screen on the wall and it was a big white board. We got off the bus and walked inside the theatre.There was car parking to go through to get to the movies. Mr Coakley our principal greeted us to the Film Festival. There were 5 schools showing their films in our session. Each school showed their own movies. Saint Pius was lucky because we got to sit at the back of the theatre in the comfortable chairs. I liked it when my friends Rachel and Sonya got up and presented our movie. We were proud of ourselves to be on the big screen.

My favourite movie was the Azonto from Tamaki College because there was a wedding going on and I saw them dance at the back. I loved the night season because I bought stuff from Pak N Save to eat, we weren’t allowed to eat during the day session.

Life Education Life

Wow this is me and Harold and I have been in the Life education van this morning so I am going to talk to you about healthy and your body. You might not seen him but there is a picture to show you. You might have a look at him when he is at your school or else some people might now him.

This is a picture of me and Harold with some activity in the bag. Lynn showed us a lady called Tam with her skin off. What she talked about was when you put the food in your mouth and use it with your teeth and then you move it around with your tongue. Then you use your Saliva and swallow it down to your throat. Next will go down to you tummy. There is a place under the stomach that has lots of stuff and it looks like sausage but it is not it is called small intestines. It breaks up the food and goes to little bits  it takes a very long time. The good food goes to the blood.

Sportsmenship

To show sportsmanship you should play fair and never cheat. We can show sportsmanship by kind and never hurt any one. To make sport better you should be friendly and never get angry at a person.  To be a good sportsman you have to be helpful and never break the rules. You should give a person on your team a go at batting or running and just have fun with your team mates.

Duffy and the best book every

Friday is my best day ever, because the Duffy Theatre come to our school. We sat down for a long and enjoyable show. 

It was friday and everybody was excited because theatre people came to tell us that reading is important. The whole school went to watch the show and we laughed heaps. What they did first was introduce themselves. We sang the duffy song and they told us a story about space and sailing tips. I loved it how scruffy always wanted duffy to play with duffy?. I loved how scruffy danced.


I loved it and it was very excited for me and it told us that reading makes you clever. I enjoyed the show and well done to those who got books.
